Second Muster is a free, independent resource for veterans, service members and their families. It is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any military branch.
What we collect
Nothing. Second Muster has no accounts and no sign-in, and it does not send anything you type to us or anyone else.
Visitor counts on the website
The website at secondmuster.org uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not identify you. We only see totals, such as how many visits came from each country or device type. The iPhone app does not use it.
What stays on your device
A few things are saved in your own browser so they're there when you come back:
- Your job applications in the Job Tracker
- Your separation date and Timeline checkboxes
- The last tab, state and location you picked
This information stays on your phone or computer. We can't see it. Clearing your browser's site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes it.
Deadline reminders
If you turn on deadline reminders in the iPhone app, your phone schedules them itself. Your separation date and the reminders never leave your phone.
Links to other sites
Second Muster links to other websites, like VA.gov, job boards and veteran organizations. When you open one, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Fonts
The app loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to download them.
Crisis help
